About Patrick

I am the result of a long line of artisans and teachers. I count my lucky stars that I have this opportunity to live and be a part of the community of Kauai, HI with my amazing wife, Jana,and our extraordinary hound, Faith. 

I am constantly inspired by the dynamic of nature in all its shapes and forms. The simple timeless elegance of a wood bowl strikes a chord deep in my dna. To shape a block of wood into the sweeping curves I see in the world around me, creating a container that will go on to hold nourishment for its owner, brings me great joy. Since my first time turning a little walnut sake cup on a lathe, I have been hooked on this extraordinary creative meditation of wood turning. 

I am also a devotee of exquisite light and love to search out the great play of light in my landscape and ocean photography. Between the folds of light and dark, Magic plays. Through my photography, I search to find those moments filled with magic and capture them to share with you. 

I am a lover of food and feeding people impeccable tastes. I fell in love with food as a curious and hungry teenager and do my best to bring playful nourishing tasteful cuisine to my clients.

I am an admirer of life and its challenges. I find puzzles in all manner of mediums and find great joy in the adventure to solve them, much to the benefit of my clients.
